Fire Suppression Systems for shipping containers
Protect valuable cargo from fire with our automatic fire extinguishers
Fire protection for shipping containers
Our aerosol extinguishing systems and automatic fire extinguishers are extremely suitable for protecting containers. Whether it concerns the fire-sensitive elements in refrigerated containers or a valuable cargo. Our extinguishing systems are installed where the fire can start and extinguish the fire quickly and effectively before the fire can destroy the load or spread. The unique extinguishing technique prevents re-ignition and, even in the event of a short circuit, damage is kept to a minimum.
Our aerosol generators also provide protection for transport and storage of lithium-ion batteries. Other fire extinguishing systems and extinguishing agents are generally unsuitable for this. Because heat is also extracted during the extinguishing process, a chain reaction can be successfully prevented and the major consequences of a battery fire can be overcome.
Our automatic fire suppression systems are suitable for following containers:
The RSL Fire aerosol fire suppression systems are the only aerosol systems certified by Europe’s number one for fire protection: VdS
Advantages of our Aerosol Fire Suppression Systems
How does aerosol work as extinguishing agent?
The fire is recognized by means of a fire detector, electrical ignition or fully autonomous analog ignition. Our Aerosol generator generates the aerosol and an endothermic reaction converts potassium hydrogen carbonate into potassium carbonate, chemically removing oxidizing substances from the combustion process and extinguishing the fire. At the same time, additional heat is extracted from the combustion process. This way the fire is extinguished in two ways and the chance of re-ignition is considerably reduced. During the extinguishing process, no oxygen is extracted and the residual potassium carbonate product is environmentally friendly and easy to clean up.
